Job Description
A Residence Facilities Assistant assists with the management of the services, contracts and staff within a
residence.
Requirements include:
• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4) qualification with at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a hospitality and
student-centred environment.
• Computer literacy (MS Office and e-mail)
• Functional skills should include: accuracy and attention to detail; planning and organizational skills, monitoring and reporting, and the ability to manage conflict
• Behavioural skills should include: strong verbal and written communication, customer orientation, relationship building, problem solving and action orientated.
Experience in Residence Management System (RMS) and Database management will be advantageous.
Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will support and assist the Residence Coordinator with:
• Effective planning, co-ordinating, executing and monitoring the Student Housing & Residence Life operations policy and standard operating procedures
• Managing, planning and monitoring residence service contracts
• Administration and management of residence records
• Stakeholder management
• Acting in the absence of the Residence Coordinator when needed.
The annual cost of employment is R205 850 per annum
