Have at least a minimum of 5 years’ experience in in related role including shaft repair work
Have good report writing skills
Have facilitated and conduct meetings and workshops effectively to achieve organizational outcomes
Understanding of quality requirements for a Quality Management System
Have ability to implement policies and processes
Understanding of the principles of Talent Management and the impact on the organization
Understanding of the principles of Performance Management and the impact on the organization
Apply the organizations code of conduct in a work environment
Be a self-starter, self-motivated and result orientated
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be prepared to work extended hours on ad hoc basis

To ensure a safe, efficient, and productive engineering maintenance on all shaft infrastructure in a vertical shaft through the supervision of a team of artisans, adhering to relevant regulations and all approved standards relevant to the tasks
Oversee that all work practices are executed in compliance with legal requirement.
Regularly communicate progress of section against operational targets and objectives via a design communication and Supervisor forum to subordinates
Plan and co-ordinate daily, weekly, and monthly work requirements and priorities with operational team (planned work and shutdowns)
Monitor the process to identify any possible problems or risk areas to the section and schedule remedy action
Take charge during crisis and major overhauls/ maintenance
Conduct regular casing inspection on all works (over inspection on planned jobs and repairs to set standards/ legal requirements) to ensure safety and maintenance of technical standards/ that welding is on standard
Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports
Ensure that all the data captured on the operational and technical management information and control systems are accurate and timeous
Assist and participate in Risk Management Programs
Setting and approving budgeting parameters for the Division in line with business requirements and financial objectives.
Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of segment specific organizational plant. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment
Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence
Provide coaching and on-the-job training to the reporting staff
Manage performance and development of reporting of the staff
Oversee that the required material, equipment, spares, and staff are available to achieve the output
