Job Description
Short Description / Purpose of Job
Establish close working relationships with ecoFT team and all Sasol OME’s to ensure support for the fit for purpose (agile) governance and compliance function, for promoting and embedding a culture of compliance and for delivery and implementation of appropriate risk management framework and practices through supporting and documenting business processes across all regions of operation.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Business governance, compliance & processes:
Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Sasol ecoFT strategy and operating model.
Develop, implement and manage the compliance risk strategy for Sasol ecoFT.
Promote a culture of compliance by undertaking compliance awareness activities and developing processes/practices to improve understanding and compliance to the challenges posed by the ever increasing expectations of regulators on compliance risks.
Assist in ensuring that the all Teams comply with the laws, regulations and supervisory requirements through managing the consistent implementation and embedment of the compliance risk management framework and the providing of compliance support across all the regions.
Develop and maintain good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Manage all the governance and compliance aspects in support of all the operations and functions across all regions: Legal compliance, Compliance monitoring, Sox compliance, Assurance services interface and Second line assurance.
Lead all policy and procedure development.
Oversee procedures and work instructions to be implemented.
Implement Risk process as defined by Risk support.
Ethics office support.
Responsible for Sasol ecoFT process standardisation and optimisation governance.
Project governance, assurance & processes
Assist in project framing for effective collaboration and to deliver business value, driving the setting of clear objectives amongst all tracks to ensure alignment on business intent and enabling efficient planning and preparation for Governance and Assurance
Guiding Projects in preparing for and through the Assurance and Investment process for gate and capital approvals
Ensure that assurance findings and identified value optimisation opportunities are incorporated appropriately in the programme
Manage delivery through Agile and waterfall (BD&I, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) ways of work
Conduct Peer Reviews, Lessons learned and Retrospectives and ensure that lessons learned from other projects / CPEP are incorporated into the business
Develop project risk registers and maintain new country entry risk assessments
