Rand Water is currently looking for a Senior Manager: Capital Execution at their Head Office in Glenvista, Johannesburg South. Reporting to the Executive in the Office of the COO, the incumbent will provide leadership and management to the Capital Execution Department in order to manage the execution on all infrastructure related projects including project programme management, project governance, stakeholder management, land and rights, fiscal, contract, technical, quality and safety compliance, which support Rand Water’s strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements
Formal business management or engineering qualification (B Tech, BSc / BEng degree)
Project Management Qualification/Professional Certification (Diploma, Degree or Project Management Professional-PMP)
10 – 15 years experience in Engineering / Project Management environment
Advanced Management Programme will be an advantage
Computer Literate – SAP, Project Portfolio Management Tools, MS Excel, MS Word MS PowerPoint
Primary Duties
To lead and manage all activities of the Department that will result in the successful execution of Large Capital Projects (infrastructure augmentation, rehabilitation – renovation, replacement and repair) in terms of contractual agreement following project, programme and portfolio management best practices
To develop, compile, update and manage a Capital Execution departmental business plan that supports the portfolio’s business plan
To develop and implement a strategy for the Capital Execution department that supports portfolio’s strategy
Accountable for capital budget programme of more than R8 billion over a five-year horizon
Manage Land and Rights requirements to enable successful implementation of projects
Manage compliance with safety standards
Accountable for project objectives of time, cost, quality and scope
Decision limits (Accountability) in line with delegated authority, for authorisation of work and procurement of goods and services
Human Resource management for staff recruitment, performance management, succession planning, retention, training and development
Perform strategic management by:
• Performing Stakeholder management (external / internal)
• Aligning organisational strategi9c objectives with deliverables of project objectives
• Managing the resources (people and money) in the Capital Execution department
Knowledge

Computer competent in Project Management software (Enterprise Project Management Tools)
Advanced Level of SAP Project System, Investment Management, CATS, and Cost Centre Expenditure, MS Excel, MS Word MS PowerPoint
